Biography:

In Loving Memory of Higinio Zul January 11, 1969 – July 4, 2025 En Amorosa Memoria de Higinio Zul 11 de enero de 1969 – 4 de julio de 2025

Higinio Zul was a man whose heart was as full as the plates he served. A gifted chef and a generous soul, Higinio didn’t just prepare meals—he brought people together through the joy of food, always with an extra plate ready for a guest. His kitchen was a place of warmth, laughter, and love, and his passion for cooking left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of sitting at his table.

Throughout his career—from Mandola’s Family Table to J. Alexander’s—Higinio poured his love into every dish, finding joy in feeding others and brightening their days. But it was at home where he truly came alive. There, the man we all knew and loved took shape—nurturing, dependable, and devoted to his family.

Higinio shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Patricia Compean. With his first daughter, Fransica Zul; his first son, Higinio Zul Jr.; his second son, George Zul; and their twins, Sonia and Oscar Zul. His family was his pride and joy, and everything he did was for them.

He will be remembered not only for his talents in the kitchen but for the love he gave so freely, the joy he brought into the lives of others, and the strong, kind presence he was to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the meals shared, the stories told, and the love carried forward by his family.

May his spirit continue to inspire warmth, generosity, and togetherness.
